Then before British establishment, the population was around 1.6 billion (Gunew, 2013).The very first colonization by James Cook happened in Sydney, 1788. During the colonization, most of the indigenous population of the coastal areas was depleted, absorbed or were forced to leave their native lands along with their traditional rituals and lifestyles. The British made their establishment in Tasmania, Brisbane, Melbourne and much more. Post-colonization in the period between 1788 and 1900, the Indigenous people were reduced by 90%. (Hunter Carmody, 2015). Similar to the history of Australians, Hong Kong has also gone through the phases of colonization. The only difference is that, this place was not seen as a part of an unclaimed land by the British invaders. The British exercised the oppressive policy here instead of assimilation policy to have the control over the Chinese. The British gained power over Hong Kong through opium war, and they have unequal treaties. The discrimination, which Hong Kong suffered, was not very much similar to the Australians but they suffered the racial discrimination. The Pakistanis were mostly the helpers who were working in Hong Kong and the Chinese used to rule them (Crabtree Wong 2013). The very first and immediate result of the British settlement was seen within the initial days of the arrival, and that was the wave of epidemic disease of European nature. These diseases were small pox, chickenpox, influenza, and measles. These diseases spread more rapidly that the settlers. The majority who got affected from this were those communities where there were a large number of populations. Thus, it could be said that disease was one of the principal reason for the decline in population. The second consequence was that British took over the land and water resources of the Indigenous people of Australia. The concept behind this was that the settlers thought these people were nomads who do not have any idea about the land ownership and thus they could easily be driven off anywhere. The third consequence was that the indigenous people were spiritually and culturally connected to their lands, and when their lands were taken off from them, and then they could not bear this (You ng, 2016). By the middle of 1800, the violence and the dispossession from the colonization caused a drop in the population of Indigenous people because their survival was very difficult in such situations because they lost their family, land, culture, language and independence just in the name of colonization. Therefore, keeping this in view, the government drafted some policies for the Aboriginal people nut these were implemented by the people of non- Aboriginal. The justification given to this was that these policies were made for their own benefit (Anheier, 2014). In the first half of the 20th century, somewhere in the 1960s, the government of Australia sought to create the culture where the uniformity of white Australians could be maintained. This was pursued through the policies of assimilation which in return had adverse effects on the Indigenous people. This policy ensured that each and every indigenous could enjoy the same identity and rights as the white Australians if they absorb the European culture. In actual, the implementation of this policy further ruined the lives of indigenous people as their children were separated from their parents as the white Australians thought that the children are more acceptable in the society. This process leads to a new concept known as "Stolen Generations." (Douglas Walsh 2013). The Health care policies and service provision have influenced the outcomes of health for both the culturally diverse groups. Though the government has made many improvements for the indigenous Australians yet, there have been significant gaps in the health expectancy between the Indigenous and non-indigenous Australians. After the colonization, the indigenous Australians had the higher number of child mortality rates and fertility problems due to their exposure to the large number of diseases like measles, influenza. The people living in the remote area of the indigenous community suffer from cardiovascular activity and diabetes problem. Equity of access to healthcare services could be made better to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. In 2008, 26% of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in non-remote areas were reported to have difficulty in accessing health services, compared to only 2.6% of the general population. With the government policies and programs on dea dly choices which cover the following areas, the life of the indigenous people has improved far better and the gap has been bridged (Cotter et al.,2012). In addition, the Australian government has implemented many programs to improve the health better by focusing on alcohol and drug abuse, nutrition, smoking, hygiene and physical activity. Even the psychological effects on the people due to the lost of their land and traditional cultures, many psychological programs have also been initiated for them. The Pakistanis were among the many ethnic groups present in Hong Kong. This place also colonized by the British like the Australians. The problems face by the ethnic group could be categorized into the following categories after the colonization. The ethnic minority especially the Pakistanis had great difficulty in finding a job in Hong Kong because they were on Chinese and discrimination starts from here. They were rejected on the two bases. Firstly, they were rejected on their races and secondly they were rejected on the basis that they have not learned the language of Chinese. The same agenda was followed in the terms of their salaries (Erni Leung 2014).This was another problem with the ethnic minority because they were not given accommodation based on the racial discrimination. The reason given for not giving the accommodation to the Pakistanis was that they were poor and could not afford to pay the rent. The people living there for many years were not given also the citizenship right. They could not also go to their native places also because they dint had much of money and also the resources. This also became another problem in Hong Kong where the student was separated on the grounds of racial discrimination (Wan, 2013). There were separate schools for the ethnic and non- ethnic people. As per the number of the ethnic student present, there are not enough schools for them. When the student does not get admission in their respective school, then they are forced to turn into the vocational school. The government had not introduced any policy for them. To deal with such problems prevailing in Hong Kong, the policy of SAR government was initiated for the racial discrimination (Wan, 2013). The fact that racial discrimination was a major issue in this place and the officials had done nothing to eradicate it the SAR policy thought to eliminate it through education. The SAR government made education as the platform for eliminating the racial discrimination from the place (Erni Leung 2014). With the implementation of the policy, the government has arranged for the housing of the ethnic people and they have given the privilege that they could apply for the citizenships. They have majorly contributed to the education system where they have introduced the program known as induction program for all the new children. They also decided to pay scholarships of some amount to the ethnic student. Regarding employment, there has been the little contribution from the government side as they have just made an increment in their wages so that their family could afford the living (Liu et al., 2013). Since colonization, the healthcare policies and service provision have a deep and long-standing impact on the lives of the Indigenous individuals living in Australia (Al Amer et al.,2015). A number of the policies and service provisions had a detrimental effect on the health, emotional and social welfare together with the survival of these populations. It also has restricted their abilities to manage and direct the development in future. Several inquiries, evaluations, and commissions have inspected the impact of the former policies that were intended for these communities. A number of them have influenced the response of to the health inequalities between the Indigenous and the non-Indigenous populations (Anheier, 2014). It is very contradictory that Hong Kong is known for the world-class health care public system, yet the ethnic group struggles to access the facility due to the racial discrimination by culture and language. The government of Aboriginal and Torres Strait realized that they have not done anything to improve their conditions. On the other hand, the government of Hong Kong accepted that the ethnics did suffered from racial discrimination, but they also dint do much to improve this but they did tried to make their situation better (Liu et al., 2013). The governments have identified that they have not been successful in the past to tackle the issues of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander concerning the provision of the health services. However, in Hong Kong it has been confessed by the Government that the issue of racial discrimination still exists. I was so tired of watching TV after the first week that I didn’t even turn it on after the first seven days. After I regained the use of my feet and hands, I remember spending almost all of my time outside. I remember how good it felt just to have the breeze on my face and the sun shining on my skin. To this day, I am still the sort of person that appreciated the outdoors. This experience taught me that being inside and craving electronic entertainment is not a happy way to live life. I would be a much different person if I had never gotten sick all of those years ago. Our experiences in the past shape who we are today. A final reason I feel the past is important is because a firm understanding and memory of the past is important for keeping us firmly rooted in the present. Fashion has always been a reflection of the collective consciousness and unconsciousness of society.   In politically conservative times, fashion reflects the staidness of the majority, but also the subversive elements of the minority.   No less a controversial figure than King Louis XIV of France was rumored to have said that fashion was a mirror.   Music, films, and television, all potent pop culture mirrors in their own right of the anxieties, hopes, and dreams of any society, all collectively form a synergistic relationship with fashion, each informing, influencing, and cross-pollinating the others in various turns.   Fashion is also a pop culture manifestation of the intellectual and cultural trend of postmodernism.   Fashion depends on newness; summer, fall, winter, spring are seasons that occur inexorably each year, and with them, the demand for new fashion lines.   The inexhaustible hunger for new ideas and inspirations in fashion and other pop culture arenas lead s inevitably to cannibalization, plagiarism, re-contextualization, and re-imagination of ideas past and present – the essence of postmodernism.   If we survey the landscape of where pop culture and fashion have been, we can to some degree predict the elements which may define where it will go, though in the postmodern universe of the 21st century, it is next to impossible to predict what incarnations will come to pass. Fashion is the byproduct of a leisure society that has transcended many of the basic human struggles on the lower level of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs.   Most people in prosperous Western nations are fortunate enough to lead lives in which the acquisition and/or maintenance of food, shelter, and clothing is not a struggle that consumes their existence, as is sadly true in many African nations, for example.   Free to ponder the meaning of their lives and the many ways in which it is possible for humans to express their inner thoughts and feelings, citizens of the leisure society began to use fashion as a mode of self-expression and reflection of any number of zeitgeists of their time.   As far back as the 1700s, French women consulted fashion magazines to learn the latest fashion trends.   Sketch artists were present in royal courts to make note of the fashion choices made by the ruling classes, and communicated these ideas to dressmakers across the nation, who in turn crafted facsimiles for those who were able to afford such fashion mimicry.   The French have historically held a special place in the fashion universe since this time.  Ã‚   As the 1800s and 1900s saw Western societies evolve from agrarian societies to industrial societies, with the concurrent increase in wealth and disposal income, the focus on and indulgence in fashion increased.   With the advent of pop music, most notably rock-and-roll in the 1950s, and television, teenagers all around the world saw the likes of Elvis Presley and his gyrating hips, causing a global fashion sensation.   Boys everywhere began to sport white t-shirts (in whose sleeves the more raucous ones rolled packs of cigarettes), blue jeans, and grease their hair.   Celebrities from the arenas of music, film, and then television became the new royalty, the new elites, for Western cultures, and the fashion trends they embodies became inspirations for millions in each successive generation. The messages of rock-and-roll became more complex, subversive, and powerful in the 1960s, corresponding with the United States’ controversial entry into the Vietnam War and a wholesale rejection on both sides of the Atlantic of many of the traditional values of the Cold War era.   The Beatles’s turn from fresh-scrubbed, feel-good bubblegum pop to psychedelic and metaphysical subject matter influences a new set of fashion trends which shocked the Establishment to the core.   Men and women everywhere began wearing colorful (both literally and figuratively), outrageously expressive, and even outlandish fashions, and allowing their hair to grow long. The exhaustion from the myriad political and socio-cultural revolutions of the 1960s, and the stagnant Western economies of the 1970s gave way to a culture preoccupied with escapism and simply having a good time.   Sit-ins and political protests gave way to champagne-filled boogie nights.   The flower-power psychedelia fashion trends of the late 1960s and early 1970s gave way to the groovy leisure suit styles inspired by the music trend of disco that consumed the world from roughly 1976 to 1980 and cemented by the global box office phenomenology of the film Saturday Night Fever, starring John Travolta and featuring a soundtrack packed with disco hits written by the Bee Gees.   The tight-fitting and well-cut suits worn by Travolta, and the sexy, stylish dresses and pantsuits of the women in the film inspired millions to change their wardrobes accordingly.   On the tail end of the disco era came a brief but potent preoccupation with cowboy fashion, inspired by the peculiar util itarian clothing from the American Old West – cowboy boots, rugged blue jeans, ten-gallon cowboy hats, etc., again propelled into the collective fashion consciousness of the world by another hugely successful film, 1982’s Urban Cowboy. At the same time the fashion trends inspired by disco and cowboy culture were dying out, the realm of the political again profoundly affected the universe of fashion.   The elections of conservative political figureheads Margaret Thatcher in England and Ronald Reagan in the U.S. sparked a schizophrenic revolution in clothing and music:   as economic recoveries were engineered on the backs of the working poor, the culture that proclaimed â€Å"greed is good† took to reveling in the wearing conservative, yet expensive or even shocking clothing – furs, for example which reflected the mindset of conspicuous consumption.   Simultaneously, those cultural elements who were not benefiting from the economic boom were rebelling against the conservative establishment trends and adopting controversial styles embodied, for example, in the slut-chic clothing popularized by the music and videos of Madonna.   Music videos, a new invention in pop culture and institutionalized b y the power of MTV, became a new showcase for outrageous fashion statements in the 1980s and beyond. The greed and spiritual bankruptcy of the 1980s gave way to the hippie nouveaux culture of the Earth-and-cause-friendly early-to-mid 1990s, and then to the greed nouveaux culture of the late 1990s, spawned by the phenomenal economic growth of the Internet boom.   By this time, pop culture had begun to liberally cannibalize itself for new ideas, having exhausted much of its potential for true originality.   As technology and civilization continue their exponential evolution of consumption, genuinely original ideas become more and more difficult to generate, leading fashion designers to borrow from past ideas, to combine hitherto uncombined or un-combinable ideas, as evidenced by the infamous phrase â€Å"What’s old is new; what’s new is old.† The early 21st Century is a time of profound uncertainty in fashion, with a myriad of recycled influences competing for the crown of the next hot fashion trend.   The inherent self-referentiality and cannibalism of post-modernism, however, makes it virtually impossible to predict which trends will take hold and when.   The next decade will make for a fascinating time in the universe of fashion.

The Universal Declaration of Human rights are applicable to all member states including most of the countries that still practice FGM. However, despite claiming that the human rights set forth would be observed as obligated in terms of their memberships, FGM violates numerous rights and freedoms that claim to be recognized but, are not known to the people. Nonetheless whether it is intentional or a direct result of the poverty levels within these countries these are rights that the people deserve to know they have. This Online Grade inquiry with subject evaluation and SMS notification is a process whereby a department head input the grades of the students who are enrolled to the said department and evaluates what subjects should they be taking after they passed their current enrolled subject for them to take their proceeding subject to the next semester after the input of data to the system. The system sends also the grades to the students via SMS every end of the trinal exam who is enrolled to the said department before that they will give first the data to the registrar in order to send the data to the students because the registrar clarify first the data because one of the foremost responsibilities of the registrar office is to keep the student’s grades data secured for their records and purposes. The head of the sa id department may now easily encode the data to the system and give the standing records to their students without a consuming a lot of time and gives convenient kind of servicing to the student. The system basically keeps all the records of the students about their grades and class subjects and it will determine if a particular student passed or fail the subject and it also display announcements like meetings and dates of signing of clearances etc. Purpose and Description Our project focuses mainly on keep in track of the students grade and subject and also sending the grade of the student via SMS who are enrolled to the said department. This system on the other hand can display important announcement like meetings and news. By this, the head of the department can easily gives the grades of a student by just encoding the grades of the students into the system. And also if the head of the department has special announcements to make to the said department, the students can easily read the announcement made by the dean even if they are not in the school. The head of the department can print the summary of grades and also the subjects taken by the students. Limitations It cannot be used for conversation. The system has no capability of handling delayed messages. If the responsible of inputting grades submitted a wrong grade of a student, the system is not reliable of human error. The system cannot accept landline number in registration for the students as their contact number. The system can be accessed by internet connection only. Significance of the study: This study was made to find out the use of online – based system that will lessen the time for transaction, accommodation and convenience of releasing the grades of the students. The college of Business of Administration which is one of the top departments of NDKC with high population which is fit to this project for us to cope/manage all the records about their student grades class subject evaluation and announcement using the said system. Through this project the said department can easily organize all the records of the students and keep in track in its database. The department would have a website that can easily use and can interact between the department and with their students. The system provides accessibility to the head of the department only and can update the grades and give evaluation to the subjects taken to the certain student. Students can receive their grades via SMS, view their evaluation subject and also can see what their head of the department announcement s. The said department will be assured of an accurate, high performance and a high level of security using the system. One benefit is that the students will know the announcements of their college dean and receive or to know their grades anywhere, as long as they are connected to the internet.

Situation comedies, or sitcoms for short, first began between 1946 and 1947 in the United Kingdom when broadcast station BBC aired Pinwright’s Progress (Aaron,2014). The United States soon followed airing their first sitcom in 1950. William Asher has been credited with being the â€Å"man who invented the sitcom,† having directed over two dozen of the leading sitcoms from the 1950s through the 1970s (Cook, 1999). Some of Asher’s finest works include â€Å"Bewitched† and â€Å"I Love Lucy†, classics that are still around today. Although situation comedies have been able to withstand time, even with new evolving technology that allows a high focus on effects that have allowed science fiction shows to thrive, they are far from where they began from William Asher’s time. Television has always portrayed the culture of the time and in the 1950s a very domestic picture was painted. Family, marriage, and an obedient housewife were all a common factor in sitcoms during this time. Contrary to popular belief, sitcoms in the 1950s rarely portrayed men as loving, doting, patriarchs, but rather as distant providers of the family with stick and stern rules for both their children and wife. (Anderson, 2012). Although television has changed rapidly since the 1950s I argue that the representation of men in sitcoms have evolved very little over time.
